Walk into your child's classroom and you will see amazing things happening! Every day as I walk through our school I am amazed what I see....ev students working in small groups collaborating on a cross-curricular lesson using laptops in their classroom, movies being produced by students with green screen technology, to 5th graders partnering with 1st graders on their reading skills. IPods, ereaders, interactive white boards...all in the hands of our students. As we think about the world in which our children will go to college, get a job, & begin their careers, it is hard to imagine the technologies with which they will interact. We do know that the 21st century learning skills that are valued by employers and will help our children navigate a global society include collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. Our teachers at EKD are laying the foundation for a successful future for your child. We will continue to learn and grow together, finding new and innovative ways to engage your child, enrich his/her educational experience, and begin building a foundation for lifelong learning.
